Building capacity for collective impact is critical for local residents, businesses, nonprofits and economic development leaders when working together to address complex social and economic growth for thriving communities for all citizens. Among the most important capacities are to develop grassroots leadership, data sharing and analysis and community engagement.

On Friday, March 8, Roanoke-Chowan Partners for Progress 2 invites all area residents to join its quarter meeting where participants will explore strategies for building and prioritizing these and other capacities in Roanoke-Chowan area communities.

Presenters will include representatives of community colleges, rural workforce and economic development organizations, business partners and nonprofits. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions and provide their own perspective on the “what, why, and how” of capacity building.

The meeting is open to the general public and all interested area residents. Reservations are requested at pjordan@roanokeelectric.com or 252- 539-4600. Please register by: 5:00 p.m., Friday, March 1, 2019.
